The Secret of a Successful Business

Hi guys,

Today, let’s talk about something I’ve been getting a ton of questions about: building a business, especially during these uncertain times.

And while we’re going through unprecedented times right now, we can always look on the bright side of things.

On the surface, I’m able to spend more time with my family. And, I’m seeing nature sprawling out much more, with more squirrels and birds and other small animals coming out of hiding more often.

I’ve also noticed something else, especially from a lot of you.

Many of you have been able to create the space to think about the ideas and ventures that you’ve always wanted to start.

I’ve then received questions mentioning the different businesses I’ve established and asking – “well, what’s the secret to building a successful business?”

Or the secret to get a new business to go the distance.

And… it really isn’t that hard.

It’s straightforward.

When you have an idea that you want to put out into the world as a business, there are a few phrases to go through.

Business definition

There’s the business definition process: What does the business do?

You have to be clear and specific so that you don’t get off track trying to chase every dollar and every single deal.

Then, figure out the market you’d like to sell to. Know your target client, build a strong target client profile, know how they behave, what they like, their typical behaviors, etc.

How are you going to make money in this business?

This is a question many people neglect. They don’t know how they’re going to charge for their product or service.

They also haven’t outlined their services and how they serve the target client, along with any potential offers.

Afterward, you move into the marketing plan: How are you going to distribute your message so that people know your business exists?

So that they can find you and eventually go into your sales cycle – which is bringing people from indicating interest to “OK, I want to buy this.”

At any rate, the “making money” part is integral, and something often neglected.

How will you standardize your product or service across time?

Often, once you start selling to many people, there comes a moment of unsustainability – a gap in time when you’re unable to fulfill the hundreth sale the same way that you did the first ten. This, of course, impacts consumer confidence going forward. No good, right?

All in all, these are the pieces that come together to build a solid and long-lasting business. The definition of the business, the target profile creation, the business model, marketing plan, sales cycle, and delivery cycle that all fit together.

The secret, however, is making sure that all of those are aligned.

That they all work together.

They are integral pieces that build one on one another, and often, business owners handle all of the pieces but never align them to make sure they’re working together, which is when you start to see breakdowns.

And, the ability to get traction, to grow. and to be successful right out of the gate.

I see it all the time – especially with people who ask me about my success in creating businesses.

It’s because a lot of the work is done in this planning phase, and rarely looked at as a whole. You don’t need to get stuck in the details and try to perfect everything out of the gate.

You only have to get enough definition, enough of a target profile, enough of the offers – enough to launch without everything having to be perfect.

If you’re in this phase and have a great idea that you want to launch, or you’re finally ready to build your own business, or you’ve been doing it for some time but aren’t getting getting traction – even after going through these phases –then I have a resource for you.

I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from my 14 years of launching and building businesses for other people in my corporate career, including two businesses of my own.

I’m also taking everything that I’ve learned from the coaches that I’ve invested over $20,000 in to really narrow down the business process and integrate it into my learning.

All of that, I’m taking and compiling into an easy-to-use, step-by-step guided workbook for you.

If you have ever thought of starting a business didn’t know how, or if you’ve started your business and still feel like you don’t know what to do next, then I’ve created the workbook for you.

This workbook includes detailed instructions on how to build all of these phases – and how to build them with alignment – so that they are all working together to get you traction and get you to your goals.

If that’s interesting to you, drop me a line.

And if you have any questions let me know or go to www.everythingally.com, check out the workbook there and preorder it if it sounds like a detailed, step-by-step guide could help you.

And if you have any questions about this, reach out to me, check out the workbook and let me know what you think.

As always, I’m here to help you guys build your businesses.

Until next time,

Diane
