How to Consistently Generate Leads

“How do I get more leads???”

Is this a question you’ve been asking yourself?

At every growth stage in my business, this has been a question, and chatting with other entrepreneurs, it comes up often.

At this point, you might not know why you’re inconsistent because…

✔️ You’ve worked on your offers and messaging.

✔️ You’ve built your audience.

✔️ And you’re so successful when you sell…

But some months you commit, go all in, network and market to the point of exhaustion… and you need to recharge and recover…

And other months, crickets… which kind of works out because you need the recovery time…

BUT it’s not getting you any closer to consistent leads.

If this is a cycle you’re in and you feel like you’re banging your head against the wall, you might not have a lead generation issue, you might have a time issue.

TIME CHALLENGES SHOW UP WHEN YOU HAVE ALL THE PIECES IN PLACE TO BE SUCCESSFUL, BUT YOU DON’T HAVE THE TIME TO EXECUTE CONSISTENTLY ENOUGH TO SEE CONSISTENT RESULTS.

I see this with clients who have found success when they launch their offers… but inevitably are so involved in delivering their services after a launch, that marketing and lead generation falls to the backburner.

I see this with clients and friends when life happens. When Spring and Summer happen and fun and vacation derail selling strategies.

Both of these scenarios boil down to a lack of time in your business.

And if you’ve passed the 6-figure mark and are on your way to multi-6s, you ALREADY know how to lead gen so it’s not a question of strategy.

It’s a matter of creating more time to do it.

When you don’t have the time to market, you hit a dry spell, only to pick back up again when you’re back from vacation or when you’ve finished delivering the last program you sold.

Because when you personally don’t have the time to execute your lead generation strategy, you will not generate any leads.

So how do you consistently generate leads as you grow your business and take time off to enjoy the life your business affords you?

Well, creating more time to lead gen is actually a simple 2-step process.

STEP #1 – DOCUMENT YOUR LEAD GEN PROCESS

If you’ve been the only one executing your lead generation strategy, document the strategy. Depending on the complexity of the strategy, this can be a visual flow chart, a spreadsheet, written instructions, a video or a combination of all four.

What matters most is that you document your process for delegation – meaning that someone else can pick it up and execute it for you and get the same OR BETTER results that you would.

Start with the results and make sure that your process includes everything you do to produce the results.

This means documenting the forms for cold leads, templates to move warm leads to hot can, when to follow up, and lead signals that move them from warm to hot.

The goal is to map out what to do and how to do it to practically guarantee the results so that you can hand it off in step 2.

STEP #2 – DELEGATE THE LEAD GEN PROCESS

You created a process that practically guarantees the results, so hand it off to a trusted VA or resource to execute for you.

You don’t have to fully give up a process if you love doing it, but let them run the process as your backup when you’re around or as your alternate when you’re away.

Delegating lead gen will ensure that you have consistency in it AND consistency when you are away from it.

Making sure you have a backup and alternate who can get the same results you would is the key to consistent lead generation.

Train your resources. Let them work alongside you and before you know it, you will be more than ready to let it go completely, clearing space on your to-dos and creating time for you.

When you have a clear process and the resources to back you, creating time and consistency in your lead gen is easy.

Whether it’s in lead generation, clients management, delivering your services or any other part of your business, creating the time to handle it consistently comes down to having the process to hand off and the resources to hand it off to.

If you’ve found yourself wishing for an extra set of hands or for a clone of yourself… This is cloning without the messy science stuff.

This is showing your VA or team how to think, act and respond like you.

This is true delegation so that you can create time for yourself with a VA that you can take your place and produce the same OR BETTER results.

💆‍♀️ WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER WORRIED ABOUT CONSISTENT LEAD GENERATION, YOU MIGHT FIND THAT YOU’VE CREATED A WELL OF TIME TO BUILD SOMETHING NEW OR JUST A BREATHER AND ENJOY THE SUCCESS YOU’VE ALREADY CULTIVATED.

Being able to create time, delegate and be consistent in my business is something that comes naturally now, but I know that it might not be natural to you yet.
