Hiring a Team Won’t Help You Scale
You know you need a team to scale your business, right?
You know you’ll need a VA or an OBM or a DOO, someone who is going to help you handle all of the bits and pieces of your business.
Someone who will come in and save the day so you don’t have to handle all the admin, the ops, and the stuff you just plain don’t want or know how to do.
And maybe you’ve started down that road… and gotten less than stellar results with VAs.
Maybe you’ve upgraded to OBMs and DOOs…and found that more expertise doesn’t mean more work off your plate.
Because a team is a piece of the formula…
And hiring a team isn’t going to help unless you can also lead, manage, and hold your team accountable for delivering results up to your standards.
I see you pinning all your future business goals on your OBM and DOO.
I see you dropping your scaling goals in your VA’s basket to execute.
But no one can scale your business except for YOU…and no I’m not talking about the executing. I’m talking about leadership.
YOU also have to be in it to win it.
YOU also have to show up and lead.
YOU also have to be able to troubleshoot what your OBM and team build for you.
YOU also have to be able to guide them to create the systems that are sustainable for you and align with the vision that YOU have for your business.
I see a lot of business owners talking about hiring a team to scale their businesses when they don’t have the mastery over their own ops to be able to effectively delegate – i.e. delegate and know with certainty that you’re going to get what you want (or with minimal issues or revision).
If this was your core scaling strategy for 2023, then make sure you’re also working to master your ops so you can delegate and lead your dream team.
